INVENTORY OF MACHINERY AND PRODUCTION ASSETS Sometimes assets accrue to a firm by acquisition. Often these assets are badly valued or not correctly recorded in the asset lists. The characteristics of these assets may be inaccurately listed, inadequately described or the assets may be grouped together as systems. For the above reasons, easy identification of the assets may not be possible.

To eliminate the risks associated with the factors listed above or other factors, a detailed inventory of all assets should be conducted, including coding and labeling, preferably with alphanumeric codes that can be used in automated information systems. |
